"I decided to return to the library and see what I could learn there. Besides, I like libraries. It makes me feel comfortable and secure to have walls of words, beautiful and wise, all around me. I always feel better when I can see that there is something to hold back the shadows."
-- Roger Zelazny, Nine Princes in Amber

My journal about life, writing, and whatever strikes my fancy to put here. This is a fandom journal, and a writing journal, and a real-life journal, so anyone who reads it should expect to find a mixture of those things. My various IMs are all contact list only, but I'm generally happy to add people; just ask.

"In the contemporary world, where things fall apart and the center cannot hold, you need to imagine a community where there is no center."
-- John Green, Brotherhood 2.0

Quick note on warnings: In general, you won't see warnings on my fic. This is mostly because I tend not to write stories containing the more common triggers. In the rare instances where warnings might apply, I will most likely use them, with one exception -- I choose not to warn for character death. I almost never write that either, but be aware that if I do, it will not be warned for.

"I am coming to think that language is in charge of everything. I am coming to think that there is no reality outside language. It doesn't matter what it is, really, as long as we know what to call it."
-- Jon Carroll, 8/5/1998
