bloody "kick grue23 and then claim there's a database error so he can't post"

[identity profile] owlmoose.livejournal.com 2006-01-24 06:11 pm (UTC)(link)
So is the anonomys comment you?

Also, Elvis? Really? Willie Nelson I knew about but...

[identity profile] luvmoose.livejournal.com 2006-01-24 06:11 pm (UTC)(link)
9: Knock on Wood?, Mighty Mighty Bosstones

[identity profile] grue23.livejournal.com 2006-01-24 06:12 pm (UTC)(link)
I think it's the original. Presely, not Costello.

[identity profile] owlmoose.livejournal.com 2006-01-24 06:12 pm (UTC)(link)
You have the right song in mind, but that's not the correct title.

[identity profile] luvmoose.livejournal.com 2006-01-24 06:12 pm (UTC)(link)
The Impression That I Get?

[identity profile] madlori.livejournal.com 2006-01-24 06:13 pm (UTC)(link)
b. is Superman by Five for Fighting.
d. is The Superman Song by Crash Test Dummies

Theme is superheroes, perhaps?

[identity profile] owlmoose.livejournal.com 2006-01-24 06:14 pm (UTC)(link)
Yes!

[identity profile] owlmoose.livejournal.com 2006-01-24 06:15 pm (UTC)(link)
Correct on titles. Theme: be more specific.

[identity profile] luvmoose.livejournal.com 2006-01-24 06:16 pm (UTC)(link)
It's gotta be something like Marvel Comics characters or something. Just so that I can't complain that you don't have Particle Man up there.

[identity profile] owlmoose.livejournal.com 2006-01-24 06:17 pm (UTC)(link)
More specific than that.

[identity profile] luvmoose.livejournal.com 2006-01-24 06:18 pm (UTC)(link)
e: Superman, REM.

Is Superman the theme?

[identity profile] owlmoose.livejournal.com 2006-01-24 06:20 pm (UTC)(link)
Yes and yes.

[identity profile] letters-to-ed.livejournal.com 2006-01-24 06:23 pm (UTC)(link)
1. The Bangles "Walk Like an Egyptian"

[identity profile] letters-to-ed.livejournal.com 2006-01-24 06:24 pm (UTC)(link)
2. The Beatles "Sgt. Pepper"

[identity profile] letters-to-ed.livejournal.com 2006-01-24 06:28 pm (UTC)(link)
Wow - this takes me back!

7. Belly - "Dusted"

[identity profile] owlmoose.livejournal.com 2006-01-24 06:32 pm (UTC)(link)
Excellent -- I wasn't sure anyone would get that one, because I don't think it was ever a single. :)

[identity profile] grue23.livejournal.com 2006-01-24 06:34 pm (UTC)(link)
a) 3 doors down - kryptonite

[identity profile] letters-to-ed.livejournal.com 2006-01-24 06:34 pm (UTC)(link)
I loved that album. It's been a while since I've heard it. I just looked in my mp3 player and it's not in there so I have to dig out the CD and load it. :)

[identity profile] owlmoose.livejournal.com 2006-01-24 07:01 pm (UTC)(link)
I may have to listen to it now myself... I love it when these games drag out something I haven't thought about in ages!

(Anonymous) 2006-01-24 07:48 pm (UTC)(link)
Absolutely correct. The King, then Willie, then the PSB.

[identity profile] peachespig.livejournal.com 2006-01-24 07:49 pm (UTC)(link)
That was me! They kicked us all off last night. They're changing security or something... they already changed the format of our URLS, and now since last night the userinfo page is just "profile".

[identity profile] grue23.livejournal.com 2006-01-24 07:52 pm (UTC)(link)
next time I'll have to preload everything, make a couple sample comments, make sure I'm still logged in... sheesh!

[identity profile] peachespig.livejournal.com 2006-01-24 07:55 pm (UTC)(link)
Ya it's annoying. When you're leaving a comment you can look about the comment field to see under what account you are about to post - or if you're not logged in you will see that it's anonymous - but I NEVER look at that.

[identity profile] owlmoose.livejournal.com 2006-01-24 07:56 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, if you check [livejournal.com profile] lj_maintenance they explain what's going on. It's some security issue; they have to keep killing everyone's cookies.

[identity profile] peachespig.livejournal.com 2006-01-25 12:47 am (UTC)(link)
c must, must, must be something by the Spin Doctors from "Pocket Full of Kryptonite." But I don't have the album. :)

[identity profile] owlmoose.livejournal.com 2006-01-25 12:50 am (UTC)(link)
You are, of course, correct. Artist credit given; however, I'm afraid there is no partial credit for album name. ;)

[identity profile] helianthemum.livejournal.com 2006-01-25 04:29 am (UTC)(link)
4 - I'm On My Way, Proclaimers
10 - Small Blue Thing, Suzanne Vega

[identity profile] peachespig.livejournal.com 2006-01-25 04:35 am (UTC)(link)
OK, we think it might be "Jimmy Olsen's Blues".

[identity profile] owlmoose.livejournal.com 2006-01-25 05:00 am (UTC)(link)
Yes indeedy.

Does [livejournal.com profile] helianthemum get joint credit on this one? Or are you using the royal we?

[identity profile] peachespig.livejournal.com 2006-01-25 05:02 am (UTC)(link)
She says she doesn't need credit, but she's trying to be modest. I was playing snippets on the iTunes music store and she said it sounded like the right song, but she wasn't sure, and I said it had a Superman-style name, so there we were.

[identity profile] grue23.livejournal.com 2006-01-27 05:10 pm (UTC)(link)
Superman's DC!

[identity profile] koshkalet.livejournal.com 2006-01-28 12:36 am (UTC)(link)
#5 Does Everyone Stare - The Police

[identity profile] owlmoose.livejournal.com 2006-01-28 03:35 am (UTC)(link)
Yup. :)
