Okay, I thought this was a neat spin-off of the other stories (yay for inspiration). I haven't played FFX-2 yet, but I imagine when I do I'll probably just sit around giggling about it because I read so much fic for it before playing (really the first time ever I've broken this habit in a big way).

I like this line: "Also, your mood, which has been oddly cheerful lately. Maybe she's contagious."

I don't know how Paine feels about Rikku (again with the game playing), but I'm glad this doesn't have an anti-Rikku vibe to it. I mean, it's obvious she's not thrilled, but she's not like, "omg Rikku that whore." Perhaps this is her character, anyway, but it warmed my heart.
