So if the bouncing and squeeing on the FList is any indication, the season finale of Veronica Mars was tonight and it was a hum-dinger.
Now for the love of whoever please don't tell me anything about it. I've only watched Season One and am almost entirely unspoiled for later developments, and I would dearly love to keep it that way. But do any of you fans out there happen to know if there's a release date on the Season Two DVDs yet? Please say yes. Please say it's soon.
Like, oh, tomorrow maybe?
Okay, maybe that's a bit much to ask. Next week, perhaps. I suppose that would be soon enough.

I couldn't find it on Amazon earlier today; maybe they were holding the information until the season finale this evening.
Thanks much for the info!!

Shows usually do wait pretty darn close to the beginning of Season X+1 before they release Season X on DVD -- although with the upsurge in downloadable episodes on iPod that might change. It's always Oct/Nov for Stargate seasons because the season has to start its run in syndication before it comes out on DVD.
I missed half of S2 myself; I want it now! LOL.

Yeah, I guess they think it's better to build momentum for the new season that way. Which I suppose I can understand. But still. Don't they know they have addicts to satisfy? ;)

I doubt you'll want to read all the Suzanne Brockmann in one go. I like them, and was obsessive in reading them all, but I still think I took a break somewhere in the middle. Certain aspects of them can get repetitious (a risk for any series, certainly).
What else is in your pile?

Veronica Mars
First, a whine. As the result of a mistake of mine, and not Tivo's (can't bash Tivo), my Tivo failed to record last night's Veronica Mars session finale. The episode's being repeated on Sunday, so I'm not totally freaking out, but it's close. I can't believe I have to wait another 5 days to find out what happened. Plus, I have to make sure I carefully regulate my internet consumption so I don't accidently find out what happens.
Which brings me to - a warning. Stay off salon.com for the next couple of days if you want to remain spoiler free. They have an article about Veronica Mars up, and the subtitle of the article (found on the homepage) revealed way more than I wanted to know about the ending.
I have also heard the August 22 release date for the season 2 DVD. I've been thinking that it would be fun to have a communal watching/rewatching of the season 1 DVD this summer, probably as a weekly weeknight get together for takeout and then the watching of an episode or two. Any interest?
Re: Veronica Mars
Very much yes! Could we watch Season 2 also?
