I quickly realized I was not any good at 'twitch' games and wanted something to do with my computer besides the usual. Thus I got sucked into the RPG world, starting with the non-graphic (cheap) games in which one had to diagram the rooms for oneself. Hah! I liked the reasoning requirements of those games and slowly graduated to the console systems and the graphic games. They are like crossword puzzles in a strange way.
