Shuyin’s one of the few things I remember finding interesting about the story. I think I recall hinikuish had a theory about him that surprised me, because I always thought he had a true connection to Tidus (as in Tidus was somehow the Fayth’s idealized version of Shuyin). I could be misrepresenting her, though! It’s been a while since we had that conversation.
