I agree, and I would even go a little farther and say that there are plenty of other good books and movies created by women *already out there*, and it saddens me a little that it wasn't one of those that hit big the way Twilight did.

But I do think there's reason to hope that Twilight has opened the door for better books and films to make inroads.
