I think, if you are a librarian, you just kind of know it. My first library job was as a student worker in college, and I just felt so at home there, like it was the right place for me to be. And nothing has ever dispelled that.

It's not an easy time to get started in the profession, but I would never discourage someone who knows it's where they want to be.
