Will come back to give this comment the thoughtful reply it deserves when I have time, but for now i wanted to confirm that yes, the child characters are mostly aged up in the TV show, by 2 or 3 years. Daenerys and all of Ned Stark's children, for sure, and some of the others as well. So Dany is 16 (or thereabouts) in the show, not 13.
