It's not so much that there's anything wrong, per se, with writing fic before you finish playing the game, but I do tend to find it better to write a character with their entire arc in mind -- what if we haven't yet learned some key fact that changes things? But this is more me boggling at myself, because before Dragon Age I always felt like I had to play through a game at least twice before I felt comfortable enough with the source to write for it. Even with Origins, I finished my first time through and had started a replay before I published anything. It's just out of character for me.

The graph is created via the wonders of Microsoft Excel. I track my word count on a Google Doc, but its graphing tools don't quite do what I need. I actually stole the graph idea from [personal profile] seventhe a couple of years back; it's fun to see the progress in a visual way.
