It's really not, is it? Just one of the many reasons he puts up those walls. But at least he does try.

And yeah, this is not exactly a happy story, for many reasons. Hopefully I can get them into a better place once I've played through the rest of the romance! But story started knocking on the walls of my brain, so I had to let it out.
