Varric fascinated me right from the start. After being about 10 hours into the game, I stopped just to replay the entire opening sequence. I particularly love how in frame story with Varric and Cassandra, Varric not only embellishing, but the initial game tutorial that previews Escape from Lothering itself gives you way higher skills than your initial Hawke has when really playing Escape from Lothering. Cassandra's statement "Bullshit!" was such a telltale signal that this whole DA2 adventure is some facsimile of the truth.

I cannot wait to see Varric's character get more development in act 2. So much love for him. ;)
