I'm glad that you're seeing Varric's considerable charms. :) There were also a lot more darkspawn in the beginning of the adventure as Varric was telling it.

I'm also completely fascinated by Cassandra and look forward to getting more of her story in upcoming tie-ins. I'm not usually tempted by tie-in media but there are some really neat-looking DA things coming down the pike.
