We've started watching this, too, in a desperate attempt to fill the void created by the end of Broadchurch. I love Abbie and her sister. They're complex, strong, interesting, and possessed of agency. Ichabod is certainly easy on the eyes and ears.
However, the historical, geographic, and cultural inaccuracies are driving me nuts. I was surprised to hear that there are ranchers near Tarrytown, NY, and scarcely reassured when an overhead shot of driving to the home of the "Mohican shaman" revealed that the Hudson Valley is contiguous with New Mexico.
They could do something really fresh with the local history. They've chosen not to. Sigh.
