Accepting that I was never going to see everything on Tumblr was very freeing. ;) You know what would make Tumblr about a thousand times more usable? Custom reading lists. I would love to be able to put, say, the mutual followers I interact with regularly on one list so I could see all their posts, have a secondary list that I check in on sometimes, and then a separate list for fyeah blogs and the like. I would actually follow way more people if I could have a set-up like that.

I agree with you on the general quality of my DW reading list, although I do still miss having more people around. Mostly because fewer people means fewer comments and fewer conversations. This is especially true on the LJ side, where there are about three people who comment, ever.
