There are some really excellent and well-funded public libraries in your part of the world. One of the faculty at the school where I used to work was a Friend of the Livermore Public Library, and he was always feeding me great art books he found at their book sales.

I'm a big fan of cafes in libraries. It's great that the trend has caught on.
