I'm not sure if this is directed at me, or others who might be passing by, but if the former I'm not sure how a peaceful rally, focused on justice for marginalized people, organized in a separate location when the white supremacists have already declared their intention to gather, is provocation. I am not sure how I feel about the direct action technique in general -- I used to be completely opposed, but in the face of such boldness from white supremacists, I am no longer so sure -- but I know it is not for me. There's a reason I went to the Castro rather than Crissy Field or Alamo Square. But either way, at least for me, silence is no longer an option.

If you haven't seen this article, I recommend it. It gave me a lot of food for thought, anyway. https://radicaldiscipleship.net/2017/08/23/my-nonviolent-stance-was-met-with-heavily-armed-men/?fref=gc&dti=233659523656843
