I didn't want a Kylo Ren redemption arc going in, but the particular way they set up the possibility in TLJ, with Rey asking Ben -- specifically Ben -- to join her, and then he did in fact strike Snoke down, I would have been okay with. But I was much happier with the direction they actually took, and if they walk it back now I'd be pretty disappointed.
