I'm in the same boat as you, though I opted to play through re: chain of memories. It's actually been pretty revelatory insofar as it ties into the main narrative. I've also been told that, when I get to birthed by sleep to play through it in the order Terra -> Ven -> Aqua for the most narrative satisfaction.
