Ted Lasso: This show has been vaguely on my radar for awhile, and then a couple of weeks ago T decided he was in the mood for something funny and uplifting, and from all both of us had heard, it seemed to fit the bill. Did it ever! What a sweet and charming show. Rupert is the evilest of all the evil exes (even if it was a little jarring to have to think of a character named Rupert played by Anthony Head as the bad guy), but every one else grew on me by the end, even Jamie, who is still a twerp, but at least now we understand why he's a twerp. Ted Lasso, human ray of sunshine, is every bit as endearing as everyone said he would be. Watching Rebecca's growth was genuinely heartwarming, and I loved her friendship with Keely. Coach Beard and Nate are hilarious. I definitely did not see the team losing in the season finale. I had figured that such an uplifting show would go for the happy ending. So I was shocked along with everyone else in that stadium when Jamie and Manchester City pulled off the win. But I think it worked -- it was sad, yes, but it wasn't devastating, and the hope for a new day next season felt real. I'm so glad that we're going to see at least two more seasons of the show.
