writing obsession returns

After last night's most enjoyable dinner, I got home, sat down at my computer, and started to play with the first draft of the first chapter (actually the prologue) of my new project. A couple of false starts and a few hundred words later, I looked up and it was 1:00 AM.

That hasn't happened in quite a while.

I have a feeling this story is going to completely suck me in. Not complaining, mind. In fact, I am very much looking forward to it!

The obsession disease seems to be contagious. I am suffering in much the same way - early morning rather than late night version of the virus. LOL

Any hints what this story is about? Also FFX? :)

Yes. This is the X/X-2 AU that I mentioned in my ideas list the other day. I'm not quite ready to go into many details yet -- once we've made sure that it's going to work, I'll share more. The one thing I will say is that this is another collaboration. We've spent much of the last few days bouncing ideas off one another, and it's already so. much. fun. And I've barely drafted a page and a half! :)

(The HP/Felix idea is waiting its turn patiently right now. It may get impatient and burst forth sometime, but right now it knows better than to try and compete!)

I have that, too -- I woke up at 5! Fortunately, I recognized that my brain was much too tired to attempt any actual work and went back to sleep. I suspect that sleep will be in short supply for the next little while. ;)

Glad you've got an enticing new story. It was lovely to see you last night. I was disappointed by the restaurant, but the company was excellent!
