KH report, FFX obsession edition

I finished the Auron plotline in Kingdom Hearts II today. I was right -- he had another arc. It was too short, but then I always knew that would be the case, and there was one bit I found so satisfying that I am still in sighing fangirl mode. Also, it seems likely that I can go back and pound on Heartless with him any time I like now, so hooray for that. ;)

Yesterday I got the first Y-R-P scene, and it was perfectly done. So beautiful I had to reload the game and watch it again; fortunately, I was very near a save. There must be more with them, and I'm much less certain where that's going to go, so I look forward to that. I guess I'll just have to wait and see!

Lastly, I also had my first meeting with Sephiroth yesterday. He's voiced by the same actor who played Nooj in FFX-2, which I find both somewhat jarring and oddly appropriate....

I love the Yu-Ri-Pa scenes (their last is my favorite, so look forward to it!)! But... was it just me, or did Paine's VA kinda forget how to do it? She sounded a little off, to me at least... XD But yeah, YuRiPa = KH!love.

i also loved that auron was still dead. XD i'm not sure why, but it is greatly amusing that he cannot be alive, ever.

All three of them sounded right to me (I've seen through their second scene now). Maybe P was a *tad* off in the first scene, but the attitude was so perfect that I can forgive a bit of missed intonation. :)

I thought everything they did with Auron was note perfect. Whoever wrote his parts has a real handle on his character. And of course his voice actor was impeccable as always.

I've been meaning to ask -- where did you get the images you used to make your colorbar? I would *love* to have a userpic from the Auron one!

The KH one? Hmm, I don't even remember! XD I think I stole the YuRiPa ones from Wiki... the Auron one I just found, although since then I've also gotten his official drawing, not just the game design... hm. I could send them to you, if you'd like...? I really don't remember where exactly I found them; I go through a LOT of image sites.


My problem with Paine's voice--I mean, it wasn't really a problem, but it's one of those fun little anal things--everything WAS so perfect, so spot-on, that it made me blink a little. But it certainly wasn't a big deal! The fact that they appeared at all makes me endlessly happy. XD

I know what you mean about the one tiny off detail being so much more jarring when everything else seems just right.
