In my head, he grew up in a small town and went off to join the warrior monks, by choice, as soon as he was old enough. 2. He has no talent for magic of any kind and remains in awe of those who can cast spells with ease. 3. He's hated blitzball for as long as he can remember; he finds it a waste of time and doesn't understand why everyone around him loves it so much. But he always went to Tidus's games, until he turned pro and didn't need the old man as a fan anymore.
