I'm mostly putting this here as a reminder to finish reading it myself, but this Rolling Stone article on the machinations of Congress looks to be quite interesting. "Like an evil, adult version of Schoolhouse Rock..."
This was featured on one of my regular stops a day or so ago. I do not know Schoolhouse Rock but I have watched sausage being made and the imagery is correct. It is a sight to destroy one's appetite for the product thus produced. I am afraid before we get our country back we are going to have to throw out more rascals than we dreamt. All of them, in fact.
Finally got a chance to sit down and read this. Enlightening (though maybe it shouldn't be so surprising as all that), and depressing. You may be right about needing to get rid of them all and start fresh, although I wonder if throwing out Tom DeLay would get us half-way there.
