More otter spam

I promise, this will be my last otter-related post for awhile.

T took all of these pictures when we went to the Monterey Bay Aquarium when we went a few weeks ago. The first three are from the river otter exhibit. (Full size of these and a couple of others in the gallery.

These guys spent quite awhile running back and forth from their cave to this door. We speculated that they were expecting lunch any minute.

Of course it wouldn't be a trip to Monterey without a visit to the sea otter feeding.

Yawp!

This is a wild sea otter that T and SE saw in the bay while the rest of us were having a bicycle adventure. Lots more pictures of this guy, the aquarium sea otters, and other aquarium dwellers (jellyfish, tuna, sardines...) are in this Picasa gallery.

Thank you all for indulging me in this brief obsession. ;) I will get back to posting about other things now.

Nope. Not sad. I would say, a perfectly natural reaction. :) Otters inspire that reaction in me all the time!

I have long expressed my desire to be reincarnated as an otter. But which? River or sea? it is a a puzzlement.

Sea otters live almost all of their lives in the water, while river otters are more land based. That would seem to be the best way to make your choice, assuming that you're given the option. ;)

Alas, this is pretty much it for my otter pictures for now. There's always the blog, though...
