Those voting for ninjas are ignoring the all-important question of climate change.

Hedges, the preferred ninja disguise, are typically suburban fixtures that require pesticides, watering, and regular trimming. Very few cities have convenient "green waste" recycling programs for clippings.

Pirates, on the other hand, help the environment by using 100% wind-powered vehicles. Rather than fueling rampant consumerism by buying things new, they make it a point to use only previously-owned clothing, furniture, and other material goods.

The Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster has demonstrated the close connection between loss of pirates and global warming. I appeal to all you: go green! Trade in your ninja and adopt a pirate!
