One True Pairing Ship: Balthier/Ashe. I know, totally predictable. But their dynamic just slays me.

Canon Ship: Does FFXII even *have* any canon ships? Plenty of subtext, all over the place, but the only canon ship I can think of is Ashe/Rasler.

"If this happens I'll stab my eyes out with a spork" Ship: Larsa/Vayne, ugh. Drastic age difference, prepubescent kid, *and* incest. Way to hit all my squicks at the same time, fandom.

"You are one sick bastard" Ship: Larsa/Penelo, in game. He's still too young, but they are so completely adorable together.

"I dabble a little" Ship: Larsa/Penelo, aged up. See, this I can get behind.

"It's like a car crash" Ship: Ashe/Vaan. I was terrified the game was going to go this way, I was relieved when they didn't. And yet, there might be some car-crash-watching appeal in the idea of seeing them try (and probably fail) to make it work.

"Tickles my fancy but not sold just yet" Ship: Ashe/Vossler. Their relationship seems mostly to be professional, princess and bodyguard, but there's something about it...

"Makes no canon sense but why the Hell not" Ship: Balthier/Vaan. Although I'm not so sure I'd say that it makes no canon sense. They can go buckle swashes together! It'd be a riot!

"Everyone else loves it but I just don't feel it" Ship: Fran/Balthier. They are very much a friends-partners dynamic to me, not lovers at all. Although I suspect Balthier has at least thought about it... I actually feel somewhat the same way about Balthier/Basch.

"When all is said and done" Ship: They have a lot of things pulling them apart -- her duties, his need to not have duties, all kinds of other problems, but my heart really roots for Balthier and Ashe to make things work, and I'm not even sure why.
