Out of the Comfort Zone meme

This is making the rounds and it looks pretty interesting. I hesitated to gank it because I'm not really writing all that much in my comfort zone lately; on the other hand, maybe what I need to be shaken out of a rut. So let's see what happens.

The idea of this meme is to write something out of your comfort zone: a character you rarely write, a pairing you never touch, themes and genres you don't usually explore. So, to that end:

Please prompt me with a character, pairing, and/or theme that I don't normally write.

Multiple prompts are welcome, and you may include as much additional prompt information as you like. Although I may not write every single prompt everyone suggests, I will get at least one of them for each of you. No promises on turnaround time right now, but I'll do my damnedest not to let anything sit too long.

I think most of you know what I typically write by now, so go nuts, with a couple of caveats:

The only fandom I really feel I know well enough to write is FFX/X-2, but hell, this is to stretch the comfort zone, right? So I'll go ahead and throw FFXII and Kingdom Hearts into the pile (but no Chain of Memories-only characters, and no Revenant Wings, because I haven't played either of those).

No incest, non-consensual or pre-pubescent sexual situations, or extreme violence. The point is to push the comfort zone, not to squick me out. Crack pairings, however, are fair game, since I almost never write them.

Excited (and a little bit scared) to see what you all come up with...

Um! *thinks, hard* Here are a bunch of prompts, feel free to pick and choose either the one you like the best or the one you like the worst!

FFX:
- Lulu/Rikku (because I am taking the chance to prompt EVERYONE with GIRLSMUT)

Interesting ideas here. Hmm, girlsmut. That's something I pretty much never write -- not because I don't like it, more because I don't think to. So that's goes on the potential list. The idea of attempting Ashe and Basch is tempting as well.

Auron/Rikku (is this difficult?)

Well, it's my least favorite pairing (of those commonly written) in the fandom. So that would be a yes. ;) I had to write it for a challenge once and it was like pulling teeth. But maybe I'll revisit it, if I get an idea.

I was going to say Kimahri, just because you could write him, but we usually don't.

That said, I'd love to see what you'd do with Lucil and Elma, since you've been to Bryn Mawr and have seen a whole spectrum of strong bonds between women.

(Not necessarily a sexual situation, I'm just imputing a strong personal connection of some sort between them.)

That first one is more possible personal fanon than "out of comfort zone" (see: Paine's backstory for A Guardian's Legacy) but then again I never wrote that part, so it's an interesting thought...

The others are also striking me as much less cracky than they ought to, oh dear, you may have handed me a plethora of bunnies...

You're right, I hardly have ever written Kimahri, but I've also barely touched Lucil and Elma (although I have a WIP in which they're somewhat important secondary characters -- hmm, there might be something there...). I will contemplate this further!

Considering that I don't think I've ever written a story featuring Leblanc, even as a background character, except for a crack commentfic in the last kissing game, I would say yes. Yes it is. ;)

Auron/Rikku seems to be one of those pairings that you either love or don't touch, I'm finding! (I gave it to Rina, and she shuddered at me. XD)

And girlsmut doesn't really have to be "smutty"... although I wouldn't complain. I just also like girlfic, and am greedy. ;)
