Remember, remember, to write in November
November approaches, and once again I shall be taking part in NaBloWriMo: one public post of substance each day of the month. This will be my third year in a row; it's already become such a part of my annual routine that I can't imagine not doing it.
I've decided not to "sign up" this year, though. I didn't feel like I got much out of joining the community last year -- I don't need the possibility of a prize to motivate me, I prefer the focus to be on writing rather than posting, and the fact that they now sponsor a blogging challenge every month really doesn't work for me. So I'm striking out on my own, although if anyone wants to join me, I'd be happy to have you! I do know of at least five people on my flist who are doing NaNoWriMo; all I can do there is hang back in awe, and of course cheer you on.
As always, I fully intend to spend a good chunk of the month working on short fic. Unlike previous years, however, I'm not planning on a call for prompts -- I've just barely made a dent in my last prompt post, which was the Out of the Comfort Zone Meme, so I'm going to head back to those, see if I can make some headway. (If you missed it before, or didn't have any ideas then but do now, and would like to add a request, feel free!) I have vague thoughts of Paine stories for
30_fantasies, too. If I could post at least one story a week, that would be fantastic. We'll see.
