I think it will eventually come down between Auron and Yuna. IMHO.

Quite likely, although Lulu was actually the second seed. I'd say the final battle is likely a toss-up to be Auron vs. Lulu or Yuna.

I had no idea Lulu was that popular. I didn't think much of her in the game, I didn't dislike her, but she didn't stick for me. So yeah.
