Alphabet fic meme

Hello, DW Archive readers! Note that this post is not kept up-to-date; the original is on LJ, here.

Discovered by following links off metafandom. I probably shouldn't start new fic memes when I have at least two I haven't finished yet, but I couldn't resist this one.

Alphabet Ficbits
1. Pick a letter and a corresponding word or expression.
2. Pick a fandom I can write and a character or pairing.
3. I will write a drabble/ficlet for the prompt.

Fandoms
Most comfortable with FFX and FFX-2, of course, but I'll be bold and say any fandom listed in my interests is fair game.

Everyone can start with up to two requests, and once I've filled one you can ask for another if there are still spots in the queue. Hopefully this will keep me from sitting on this forever, as I have been known to do. Oops.

2) C, "Childhood/Children"... I would love to see any FFIV character on this one (Rydia! Cecil and Rosa! Edge!), but if you aren't sure about FFIV, I'll choose Auron. XD

I could get all technical on you and say that I don't have FFIV listed as an interest, but since I do have Final Fantasy in general, I'll take a crack at it. ;) But thank you for the out, if it turns out I can't make it work!

I actually checked and saw FFIV wasn't listed. ;) But I know you've talked about it before, and this is my totally-not-subtle way of promoting my tiny fandom. I really don't mind if you "take the out", either, because everyone loves Auron, so. XD

I can give this a shot! Just be aware that I'm really new to writing Trek fic (although I'm not at all new to DS9 canon!), and h/c isn't my usual genre, so it might be a little while. Also, I might combine it with taricalmcacil's prompt, below; seeing them together gives me an idea...

Also, I must admit that I'm really curious: how did you find me?

I found your fic "Not a Veterinarian" via google alerts. Anytime Julian is mentioned on the net or www in blogs, articles, etc... I get an alert sent to me via email.

I'm so glad I got the alert because I love Julian and DS9 fanfiction and I loved your story!

Ah ha! It all makes sense now. Thanks! I'm glad you enjoyed the story -- I figured it was something to do with that, but I couldn't even guess how you'd discovered it, since I'm not active in Trek fandom. Mighty Google, ruler of us all.
