*shudder*

There are bugs in my library.

Something crashed into the wall and then disappeared a few minutes ago, and now I hear it scratching down around my computer. And then I saw what looked like a huge cricket walking across the floor. I want to know what's down there, but I'm too freaked to look. And now I'm hearing little cracking and scritching noises everywhere and feeling crawlies on my toes. I'm sure the latter at least is in my head but still. Gaaah!

If the toes disappear, you have a problem. It may well be crickets, they have the habit of infesting occupied spaces. I often find largish ones in my bathroom. Make notes and save them (the notes, not the bugs) for a story.

Good thought. Although I may not need to take notes if this creeping feeling on my legs keeps me up all night. I'm at home and I can still feel them. Bleargh.

Gah! Isn't this what spouses are for? Lord knows it's what mine takes care of.

It would be, if I hadn't been at work. My boss might look at me a little funny if I called T in to come hunt down bugs in the office. :)

I *hate* creepy-crawlies. Particularly spiders. I go out of my way to have somebody else destroy them. And I think Australia has some of the bigger spider species, too. Ew.

Ugh, spiders. Spiders and cockroaches. Spiders and cockroaches and things with lots of legs. Okay, fine, I hate them all. :) Yeah. I make other people kill them for me, too, when I can get away with it.

I one time had a spider in my bedroom that was so big I could hear it walk across paper (with those scritching noises). It was extremely disturbing. I can't remember if I just left the room and hoped it would go away or if I had my then-boyfriend dispose of it.

Yeargh!!! Ew ew ew. Just thinking about that gives me the shivers. I think I might have run out of the house screaming.

Are you normally bugged by spiders, or was it just the hugeness of that one in particular?

I'm fine with spiders that are small or that have really little bodies and long skinny legs. It's large bodies that squick me out. Also, I cannot stand crickets--our basement in NC was infested with them, and I hated it. I loathe any bug that can move quickly and is unpredictable. I used to also hate the yearly infestation of junebugs, because they'd fly into the wall, temporarily stun themselves and fall into your hair (or on your face, if you were sleeping--I used to sleep with the sheet pulled up over my face).
