You got it. :)

[identity profile] peachespig.livejournal.com 2005-10-11 03:23 pm (UTC)(link)
So I like your theme - you may remember (were you on my flist quite yet?) my first theme when I started doing these last month was songs with different electromagnetic wave frequencies in the titles, but I adapted that from an old mix I made years ago which was pretty much identical in concept to your theme - it also had Orange Crush and Ultraviolet (both of which made it into my theme a few weeks ago) as well as using an Indigo Girls song for "Indigo".

For the curious, the others were "Red Rain," "Forever Yellow Skies" by the Cranberries, "From the Edge of the Deep Green Sea" by the Cure, "Blue Sky Night" by Melissa Ferrick and "Violet" by Hole. :)

[identity profile] owlmoose.livejournal.com 2005-10-11 03:27 pm (UTC)(link)
I do remember that theme. I don't have any other violet or orange songs. Are there even any other options for Indigo? :)

[identity profile] peachespig.livejournal.com 2005-10-11 03:32 pm (UTC)(link)
Not that I'm aware of. :) Yours is a nice mix of the color being in the title and being in the artist, similar amounts for each. I made the color be in the title every time except Indigo, which is probably a clue to my psychology - I like to make themes that are almost consistent but have single instances of stretching them in a certain direction.

The same thing happened in my Firely meme - I was willing to have one song where the character's name was in the artist instead of the title, one song where the character's name is misspelled, and one song where the character isn't human - oops no one's gotten that one yet! ;)

[identity profile] owlmoose.livejournal.com 2005-10-11 03:46 pm (UTC)(link)
Is that a hint? :)

I like the themes where at least a couple are tricky. There's a local radio station here that plays a game called "My Three Songs", where they play three songs on a theme and the caller has to guess the theme. My absolute favorite was this one where first two songs were "Marlene on the Wall" by Suzanne Vega and "Three Marlenas" by The Wallflowers. The DJ warned everyone to look deeper, but people still started calling in with "Marlene" as the answer.

Then the third song was "Another Brick in the Wall." :)

[identity profile] grue23.livejournal.com 2005-10-12 05:50 pm (UTC)(link)
"Mood Indigo", Ella Fitzgerald/Tony Bennett/Duke Ellington/Charles Mingus/others
"Indigo Flow", Limp Bizkit

There's also an artist called 'Indigo.'

But nothing I've heard of without iTMS search. :)

Random guess:
c: Yellow Submarine, The Beatles?

[identity profile] luvmoose.livejournal.com 2005-10-11 03:41 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh wait, that starts "In the town, where I was born..."

[identity profile] owlmoose.livejournal.com 2005-10-11 03:43 pm (UTC)(link)
That is correct. I thought about using that one, though. But this meme is already too easy. :) I'll need to pull out some tougher stuff next time.

[identity profile] angeltaisha.livejournal.com 2005-10-11 03:43 pm (UTC)(link)
Number 7 is 'Barely Breathing' by Duncan Sheik

[identity profile] owlmoose.livejournal.com 2005-10-11 03:48 pm (UTC)(link)
Yep!

This one got answered so fast! I'll have to make it more challenging next time... :)

[identity profile] plantgirl.livejournal.com 2005-10-11 05:17 pm (UTC)(link)
I'll say. By the time I wandered over all the ones I knew were answered.

[identity profile] owlmoose.livejournal.com 2005-10-11 05:37 pm (UTC)(link)
Sorry about that... :) They decended fast and furious this time! Some of my other friends who do these put up a post with an hour or so of warning, to give everyone a heads-up that one of these is coming.

If you like this game, you should browse my FL sometime -- there are usually at least a couple going.

[identity profile] helianthemum.livejournal.com 2005-10-11 05:59 pm (UTC)(link)
#3 is Sting, St. Augustine in Hell. (I think that's the right name...)

[identity profile] owlmoose.livejournal.com 2005-10-11 06:17 pm (UTC)(link)
Got it in one. :)

If you look back through my other music memes you may note that songs from this Sting album keep coming up. It's weird. I think my iTunes just likes it for some reason....

[identity profile] angeltaisha.livejournal.com 2005-10-12 06:12 pm (UTC)(link)
Number 8 is 'Murder of One' by the Counting Crows

[identity profile] peachespig.livejournal.com 2005-10-16 03:58 pm (UTC)(link)
Okay, if I must: it's "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road" by Elton John.

[identity profile] owlmoose.livejournal.com 2005-10-16 04:08 pm (UTC)(link)
Yay! Finally. :)
