Year in Review: 2011

Take the first line of the first post for each month, and that's your year in review.

January: This final monthly update for 2010 officially rounds out my best year of writing since 2006.

February: Go prompt! Go write! Go enjoy! Go go go! [This was a promo for the FF kiss battle.]

March: Yeah, yeah, yeah. We've heard this before. A "firm" publication date for A Dance with Dragons?

April: Copyright is the place where my interests as a fan and as a librarian are most likely to collide, so it's no surprise that I came out of the two talks on the subject I attended this afternoon energized and excited.

May: First, I am participating in the [community profile] newgameplus reversathon!

June: Got behind, so I'll get ahead a little bit today. [Referring to the "30 Days of Final Fantasy" meme.]

July: Even though I've been to New York City many times (I tried to sit down and count the other day, and found that I could not), I still discover new things every time I go.

August: The Porn Battle is on again, and there are many prompts working at my subconscious. [Surprisingly, this is the first post on the list that directly relates to Dragon Age.]

September: That went pretty well. [A monthly writing goals post.]

October: Finished my [community profile] newgameplus story with time to spare; phew.

November: This is something I've been meaning to do for awhile, and the demise of Google Reader as a sharing platform seems as good a time as any. [The list of "what social networking platforms KJ is on; I really ought to write a shorter version of that, make it a sticky, and update it regularly.]

December: Now that I've posted the first part of my Final Fantasy XII/Dragon Age crossover, I wanted to step back a little bit, think about the world I'm creating and how it's going to work.

Pretty accurate, I think. Skipped a couple of writing goals posts. I like doing this meme even when I haven't ganked it from anyone; it's a nice way to wrap up a year. Update: I just checked my archive, and I've done this meme every year since 2005. I guess that makes it officially a tradition...
