Where do you live and/or time zone: San Francisco
What are you studying/What are you working as: I'm an academic librarian. As such, I'm learning something pretty much every day of my life.
What makes you happy/hobbies: Things I love include writing, reading, singing, fandom, travel, and cats.
An interesting fact about you: I grew up in very small towns in Ohio and Iowa. Until I moved to California as a teenager, the largest town I'd lived in was only 1000 people. I've lived in towns with fewer residents than the building where I currently live.
Are you in love/have a crush at the moment: I've been partnered with T for over 12 years now. We've had the usual bumps and bruises along the way, but basically solid from almost the day we met. I do get crushes from time to time but never feel the urge to act on them. Monogamy works well for me.
Favorite place to be: Do I have to pick one? At home, almost anywhere in SF, friends' houses, New York City, Bryn Mawr College... But usually the company is more important than the place.

Favorite Fandom(s): I'm currently most active in Dragon Age and Final Fantasy XII, with a nod to Final Fantasy X/X-2 for being my original fandom and still well-loved, even if I'm not as active lately. My current obsession is The Avengers movieverse; we'll see how long that one sticks around.
