Old friend from Bryn Mawr: brunched with.
Hapshetsut exhibit at the de Young Museum: visited.
Friends: safely seen off to airport.

Weekend: a success.

They are most definitely eager to play host again. Tori nibbled on our toes all night while we were sleeping (or trying to).

I concur with luvmoose. They seem to have figured out rather quickly that more people around means more people to pet them and to play with. There are some utterly adorable photos of anzubird holding Tori that I must get copies of. Both houseguests brought cat toys. The cat dancer was a big hit, but the furry ball with feathers attached is having some strange effects -- Tori became quite possessive of it, and when she's holding it she growls at Lexi if he tries to approach. It's a little unnerving, actually. :)

There is a book called This Simian World which in one part explores how things would be different had the great cats evolved to become the dominant species. I firmly believe it would be a better world. The intelligence of even the smallest kitten is stunning. Yours took less than a day to figure out just how to manipulate the situation to their total advantage. Monkeys would still be picking away at their fleas. ;)
