DAI question

Spoilers through The Thing (as detailed in my previous post). Please no spoilers in comments regarding anything that happens during or after The Thing, except in regards to my question. We haven't finished The Thing yet. Update: Answered, and very quickly! Thanks. :)

When we triggered the battle with the Red Templars last time, I noticed that a whole bunch of sidequests were marked as complete, but not exactly which ones. We lost that battle and went back to level up a bit; we're now at the level that we were targeting (last time we were a mix of 9 and 10; most everyone is now 11 or close to it), but I don't want to move forward if it means losing all the Ferelden side quests. In particular, I don't want to lose the rest of Varric's companion quest (destroying the red lyrium) or the one with the shards. If we go ahead and do The Thing, can we come back to these quests afterwards? Or are they gone?

We're at 29 hours already (I was mistaken in my last post when I said 15; it was more like 25), and I don't want to spend *too* much more time than necessary in Act 1 (I assume this is Act 1, anyway). But I don't want to lose all the sidequests, either. So any spoiler-free advice would be appreciated. :)

No, you can do the Thing and then go back to the Hinterlands for 9000 hours to complete quests.

Do you currently have any active quests in Haven?

Double check that there are no active quests in the "Haven" tab in your journal.

Good luck with the sequence of battles. They are not easy.

Not really. It is very unlike anything Sakimoto would compose and the ambient world music seems unaware of locale.

It is very rare for sidequests in this game to get closed off. It has happened to me once or twice with companion quests I was putting off, but it didn't affect my relationship with that companion too badly and if I'd really cared about them I'd have done the quest sooner. As far as I can tell there's nothing like Redcliffe or Mass Effect 2/3 where if you inadvertently do quests on the wrong order EVERYONE DIES AND IT'S ALL YOUR FAULT.
