Sudden lightning bolt of realization re. Wardens of Ivalice

I was looking back through my DA:I tag on Tumblr, when it hit me.

What if magic works for everyone in Ivalice because, when Solas put up the Veil, it didn't extend to the other side of the world?

I need to decide whether this makes sense or not. But if it does, it could solve some of the issues I've had with harmonizing the two magical systems. Hmmmmmm.

This makes sense if we forget about the whole demon/spirit/fade creature thing? Or maybe that is why Ivalice is plagued with aggressive vegetables and Cthulhu-squid mountain lions??? Rogue tomato is what happens when fade spirits inhabit a common plant??

The occuria ... hm... that would take a little thinking and digging to make more sense of what Bioware is really thinking with their various golds.

The espers seem to transfer a little more easily as super-fade creatures: Spirits of Death, Corruption, Protection, etc. (http://vieralynn.tumblr.com/post/135170181717/aethericgeometry-the-espers-scions-of)

Entites are similar enough to lesser fade spirits that glow, float around, and don't appear to have all that much intelligence (some examples appeared in Asunder). The fact that entites are strongly attracted to people performing magic fits well with the x-over.

Hmmmm. This feels like it is on the verge of clicking.
