musical stuff

Some of you may be interested to know that They Might Be Giants published their first podcast and have promised more. Info and downloads here. I listened to it last night, and it was as much wacky fun as you might expect from TMBG. Worth checking out.

Thanks to various recommendations, I picked up "Lost and Gone Forever" and have been enjoying it a lot. I was already familiar with a few songs on the album, and now I'm fairly certain that I did see Guster tour with BNL at one point -- I have this memory of a bongo drum and "Barrel of a Gun" at Universal Amphitheatre in Los Angeles. They didn't make much impression then, but now I may have to go get more albums.

New song game later this morning. Probably in about an hour. See you then.

If you were at the Universal Ampitheatre show on 10/10/00 (that was supposed to be at the Great Western Forum but got changed to the UA) - Guster did open at that show.

I was there too! :)

It must be the same show! That date rings a bell, and I definitely remember the venue change. This was before [livejournal.com profile] luvmoose and I were Ladies Room members, so we just had ordinary seats.

How funny that we were all there. :) Have you been out to CA for other shows?

Well at that point in time, I lived in Ventura, CA so LA was the 'local' show. I was in the front GA section for that show.

I also went to the Berkeley Peep Show (11/21 or 23/03). It was that night that Ed posed with me for the picture that is my icon. :)

Ah, that makes sense then.

I wanted to get to the Berkeley Peep Show, but I had a concert of my own that night (my chorus at Stanford). I was so bummed about that conflict!
