May update; June goals

Days written: 24/31
Words written: 8,982
Words of fic written: 4,652
Stories worked on: Two
Stories posted: None

Specific goals:

1. Write 6 days per week, even while traveling. I missed 6 days in some weeks but I still hit this as an average.

2. Complete draft of fic for [community profile] ssrconfidential (due June 7th). No but I made reasonable progress on it.

3. Make enough progress on the crossover fic that I can submit snippets before I leave for WisCon (due May 25th). In the end, I submitted my snippets on Friday of WisCon, but I still beat the deadline.

4. At least one Tales for the TBR review (I'm reading a good candidate right now). Nope. I did finish the book but then didn't get around to writing about it.

Time for June goals. GWYO is running their annual "mid-year marathon" in which we are challenged to do our best to either meet our goals, if we've had trouble doing do, or getting ahead if we're on track. I ran the numbers today, and as it happens I've written on 100 days this year -- in other words, exactly on pace for 240 days in the year. But I'm a good bit behind on my wordcount goal -- over eight thousand words. I'm not making THAT up in a month, but I'd like to make some progress on catching up.

1. Write an average of 6 days per week. Stretch goal: 500 words per day, which won't catch me up entirely, but will get me a good bit of the way there.

2. Finish and post SSR Confidential story -- due June 7th, so I have to prioritize this.

3. Once that's done, finish a draft of the crossover.

4. At least two posts for Lady Business -- for real this time -- and catch up on my GoodReads reviewing, which is woefully behind right now.

Good job! I'm 3 days behind on GYWO myself, but I can make that up in June.

I'm double-posting, but I ran across something I think you'd find interesting for Wardens of Ivalice, courtesy [personal profile] muladhara: the idea that nethicite and lyrium are functionally the same things. And I mean, you may have already thought of it in that context, but in case you didn't, I thought you might like to know.
