March wrap-up; April goals

March goals:

1. Write 6 days per week. Working from home messed this up more than I could possibly have imagined. Thoughts on how to work with this new paradigm coming soon.

2. Write at least two substantial [profile] lady_business posts. Nope.

3. [community profile] marchmetamatterschallenge: I've been looking forward to this since I first saw it announced in January. It's a project to post meta to AO3, either by writing new meta or cross-posting older work, and I plan to focus on archiving my meta writings from Tumblr. That's something I've wanted to do for a long time, and this seems like the perfect opportunity. My goal is to archive at least three pieces a week, which means both identifying posts and editing them. I'll probably bring over some of my LJ/DW posts too, although that's not my top priority. I reposted six meta pieces (and one fic) to AO3. Of these, only two (plus the fic) were Tumblr-native, although some had been crossposted there. Basically, I had less original meta writing on my AO3 than I remembered, and lots of it was character meta that feels more like fiction than nonfiction, so they didn't fit the terms of the challenge all that well. A lot of what I found were short-answer meme responses and "30 Days Of" answers; some of those might still be worth collecting into long-form posts; I copied tons of these fragments into files and made note of others I might still get back to. I edited everything I posted and expanded a few things, but I didn't write anything from scratch.

I suppose I ought to do my Q1 check in, too.

1. Hit the 240-day Habit Pledge goal for [community profile] getyourwordsout. I am distinctly behind on this, but I can't be too angry at myself for it, given everything going on.

2. Post in my journal at least two days per week (not counting Monday Media Musings) and write a full post for Lady Business at least once per month (outside of contributing to group projects. I'm a little behind on this, and I'm not as good at keeping up with Monday Media, especially lately. But I want to redouble my efforts right now, at least for my own journal. Right now I'll be happy if I keep up on the group posts with LB.

3. At the end of each quarter, consider whether to add some goal relating to fic to this list. Definitely not right now. Maybe after a little more time sheltering in place I want the escape but not just yet.

4. Add every book to Goodreads within a week of finishing it, and continue the Monday Media Musings series. I've been good about adding books to GR. I have not been so good about actually reading books....

In our current world, it feels so weird to be setting any goals for anything, but I like continuity, so here goes.

1. Write 5 days per week. If I can just get back up to my GYWO pace right now, I feel like that's a win.

2. Post to my journal at least 4 times a week. That'll almost get me to the habit goal right there, if the posts are long enough. And I think it's a good idea to have a record of this strange time.

3. Clean up and post at least one more meta piece rescued from Tumblr.
