June goals:
1. Write five days per week. Fell a bit short on this.
2. Nominate some fandoms and sign up for
multifandomdrabble. I have done the thing! I believe I'll get my assignment sometime next week.
3. Post at least two Monday Media Musings and one Lady Business post that's not a group post. Well this didn't happen at all, although I did make a couple of substantive posts in my own space.
And it's time to check in on my goals for 2020 I SUPPOSE. Had I but known what folly it would be to set goals for 2020.
1. Hit the 240-day Habit Pledge goal for
getyourwordsout. I never even dreamed that hitting this goal would be such a struggle. I'm not so far behind in the grand scheme of things (I'm at about 40% of the total rather than the 50% that would be on pace), but it feels like so much to make up, given that I've never gained ground, only lost it. GYWO offered folks the opportunity to change pledges last month, but the next lowest goal is 120 words for the year, and that doesn't feel like a goal at all.
2. Post in my journal at least two days per week (not counting Monday Media Musings) and write a full post for Lady Business at least once per month (outside of contributing to group projects. I wish I could be inspired to keep up on Monday Media, but I'm just not. No LB posts either. But in my own space I'm keeping up with this pretty well.
3. At the end of each quarter, consider whether to add some goal relating to fic to this list. So I am sneaking my toe back in. Done some editing and reposted, posted a story in May, have signed up for one challenge and am planning to do another (
remixrevival, which is launching at the end of the month). I'm not going to jump fully back into this, but I'm not closing off the possibility, either.
4. Add every book to Goodreads within a week of finishing it, and continue the Monday Media Musings series. What I said last time ("I've been good about adding books to GR. I have not been so good about actually reading books....") still holds 100% true. I might not even get around to voting in the Hugo fiction categories, that's how far behind I am.
July Goals.
1. Write 20 days in July. So, July is the GWYO mid-year marathon, when we're encouraged to at least hit the monthly average for our goal, if not make up some ground. For me, that would be 20 days of writing. Considering that I didn't even get to posting my monthly goals for the month until the 2nd, I don't know how likely it's gonna be. Especially considering that my dayjob is going to be super busy this month. But, well. I want to try. I'm going to try. We'll see how it goes.
2. Write and post for
multifandomdrabble (due date: July 12th) and sign up for
remixrevival
3. Write something for Lady Business. I will think of something and get it done. Yes I will.
4. Post in my journal four days a week.
