Dragon Age Codex Meme
I wanted to give this a little more visibility than where it's currently hiding in my November writing goals post: two lists of prompts for codex entries about Dragon Age OCs. One; Two. The first is more generic; the second includes DA:I specific content.
This strikes me as something fun and light to work on this month. I probably won't post them all individually, but here's the first:
A description of your OC from someone who hates them
.... The part I find most galling is that she doesn't even seem to know. Sure, she basks in the glory our father reflects on her, and she dotes on him in return -- the adoration in her eyes when she looks his way seems real enough. But she doesn't understand how rare a royal father truly loving his offspring really is. She doesn't see how little regard Father has for Bhelen, how openly he despises me. Me! His firstborn, his heir, who should be his most trusted confidant. Instead, he treats me as a distant advisor at best and elevates Sereda to his side. I had to find out via backchannels that he will be naming her as commander of Orzammar's forces soon, and she has no idea what that means for her, for me. She seems to think it's a simple honor, but the signal it sends to the warrior caste and the deshyrs is clear.
How can a girl with her reputation for strategic brilliance and a silver tongue be so stupid as to not see what's right in front of her? He's going to set me aside for her; it's so obvious. Convince his allies to support her claim in the Assembly, have me killed in battle, perhaps goad me into an unwinnable Proving? It would not be the first time.
Well, I won't sit idly by and let it happen. No matter what our father thinks.
