I have a problem with most situations in which a more powerful individual takes sexual advantage of an underling, unless it is designed to shed the appropriate light on the relationship and the characters of those thus involved. Even incest could pass the test if it were for a proper reason. For instance, maybe Rikku is an idiot because she is concealing the fact Cid raped her when she was five years old.
I think Nooj would become involved in a same sex relationship if he thought it would be the honourable thing to do. Auron is just about the only one I can think on in the canon who could command his respect to this degree. We must remember Nooj had no close male model after he was orphaned at about six years old and may be somewhat confused about the correct choices. He knew more strong women than admirable men in his very young days. That can make a difference, I think.
