Injury update
I got my x-rays today, and the good news is that I appear to have no broken bones. I will need to wear the splint for awhile, and my right side is still pretty sore, but it's getting better (I think being in a familiar space and sleeping in my own bed makes a big difference to healing up).
This is the third time in less than seven years that I've caused a significant injury to my left hand while traveling. That's not a trend I'm particularly interested in continuing. But it's maybe inevitable, because I'm a bit klutzy, it's easier to get injured on unfamiliar terrain, and I've trained myself to fall onto my left side in order to protect my bad right shoulder. I hadn't thought of that last part until my doctor pointed it out today, but I'm pretty sure she's right.
