Monday Media on Wednesday: 1/19/22
The Great British Baking Show: We finished Collection 8 on Netflix, aka the 11th series Bake-Off, so now we are only one series behind, and soon we will be officially waiting for the others with the rest of you. I think Peter is probably the least surprising winner in the history of the show, given how solidly he performed throughout -- only two weeks where he seriously misstepped -- and in the finale. I'm not complaining though; he's clearly talented, and seems very sweet, and every time he mentioned that he'd been dreaming of competing in Bake-Off since he was a young boy, I enjoyed laughing my head off at Paul's reactions.
The Flight Attendant, Episodes 1-4: We subscribed to HBO Max for a month so we could watch The Matrix: Resurrection. As long as we have it, we decided to catch up on some other things, and this is the one we picked. It had been on my radar back when it first came out, and we thought about watching it with our first round of HBO Max, but then never got around to it and then we forgot about it until now. It's suspenseful and funny, Cassie's Bad Decision Theater is equal parts stressful and entertaining, I love many of the supporting characters (especially Annie, Davey, and Max), and I'm intrigued by the unfolding mystery.
