Do you think it would collapse?

They're tied together somehow -- they described the process at the bottom of the page, but my brain is too fuzzy this morning to really understand it -- so I assume it is structurally sound. Somehow they managed to do that without damaging the books, which is a cool thing.

I have forty-five boxes of books in the attic
