new toy

My cell phone has been dying for some time -- the hinge was broken, and it was getting harder and harder to use. And I was far overdue for my every-two-years upgrade anyway. So I picked up a new one today.

It's a camera phone.

So if some of you thought you were innundated with cat pictures before.... Heh heh heh. ;)

Cameras are ubiquitous these days. Whilst working on the Mac, I accidentally turned on the camera and was shocked to see my ghastly face on the screen. I must find a way to disable that thing. I can see it is going to be a constant snare in my path. At least you can aim your telephone. ;)

To be fair, I did want a camera -- I could have gotten a phone without it, although my choices would have been fewer. There've been too many instances lately when I've said to myself "gee, I wish I had a camera phone right now", so I decided it was time.

It's true. And it's unlikely to take random accidental pictures of me. ;)
