lovely morning

You know it's going to be a scortcher in San Francisco when you can already smell the bay at 7:30 in the morning.

I went out to pick up coffee a few minutes ago and not only did I not need my jacket, I probably also didn't need my overshirt. I saw people in shorts and envied them. In San Francisco. At 9 AM.

Perfectly blue sky, too, and no wind, just a light breeze. Excellent day to hang out in the park, or at the beach, or just on the city streets.

But no, I have to work. Tell me why I need a job again?

To this my tomatoes are saying, "It's about time!" They really need the heat to ripen ‐to become sweet, proper tomatoes for salads, sandwiches, sauces and chili. :)
