Gratuitous lousy icon post

I spent more time than I care to admit searching for something like this, and then way more time than I care to admit making it myself when I couldn't find one. And it's really kind of terrible, but I have to have something to show for my morning.

The manipulation I created so I could make the icon is here:




The idea of doing this has been distracting me for days; maybe now that it's out of the way I can settle down and get something actually productive done....

updated: Thanks to the talents of mneme_forgets, the icon is now much improved! Fixed manip here (hope it's okay if I link to it). :D Hooray.

Don't you hate when things like that grab you and drives you crazy? I'm not all that graphically inclined but it happens to me sometimes, too.

Yeah, it is crazy making. Like being seized by a plot bunny, except worse because I can generally get words to bend to my will, but have no talent for futzing with images.

All I can say is - it's about time! We have been writing these two for almost five months and you finally come up with an icon celebrating their ... oneness!

Thank you. :) I've had that icon with their two portraits for some time, and I like it a lot, but I've been feeling the need for an image that ties them more closely together. I'm sure you can understand why. ;)

Certainly. Here's the thing, how would I give you the photomanip? I really don't know anything about ermm using just plain old picture on livejournal or image hosting sites. So if you could give me some advice on that, or maybe some easier for big dumb me to get the picture to you - like would email work? That'd be great. Hee.

Email is fine. Or you could post it in your LJ Scrapbook, which is where I put up this manip (and where I host all my cat pictures) and I could get it from there.
